Welcome to Eaton Bray Tennis Club!
We are a friendly village tennis club with around 150 members of all standards and ages, and are always keen to welcome new members, including complete beginners.
Our three recently resurfaced courts and club house are found at the end of School Lane. We play through the year (diehards have been known to sweep snow off the courts to play!) and two of the courts are equipped with floodlights for the winter season.
A lot of social tennis is played and we hold two informal sessions a week for anyone who turns up. If competition is more your thing then we enter several teams into the county leagues, and with some success. Our men's first team has won the local league 3 times over recent years - no mean feat for a small village club. There is also an annual internal club tournament each year, and 'Finals Day' is one of the highlights of the calendar.
The junior section of the club is growing rapidly, and there are weekly coaching sessions for all age groups. Our professional coach also offers private and group lessons for seniors.
The club also organises a selection of social events each year. Recent events include a summer BBQ, a Christmas Curry, quizzes and a games night. And a good workout on the courts is often finished off with some liquid refreshment at the White Horse.
If you are thinking of joining or have any other questions then please don't hesitate to get in touch, or simply turn up to one of our social sessions for a free taster (these run on Sunday mornings from 10 a.m. and Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m.). Our subscriptions cover unlimited tennis for a year and are probably less than you would expect at £25 for a junior, £71 for a senior and £132 for a whole family (with discounts for mid-season joinees).
